The glass-enclosed Brookfield Place Pavilion at the World Financial Center, an 8,000-square-foot pavilion supported by two massive 55-foot tall steel lattice towers, is only one portion of Brookfield Place's $250 million revamp of the former World Financial Center buildings. This aesthetically and acoustically sound impressive space will see more than 100,000 pedestrians each day.
The exposed steel structures meet and penetrate a BASWA Phon 40mm Frosted Finish acoustic plaster ceiling. The steel beams each pass through the BASWA Phon sound absorbing plaster at a unique angle requiring a corresponding elliptical reveal. The result is a truly impressive aesthetic and acoustic high traffic public space.
